Description: For auction is a rare and fine Omega Seamaster XVI Melbourne Olympics 2850SC 18k Black Dial. This is the nicest example I've seen...original crystal and crown; dial is EXCELLENT. A truely Omegamania worthy watch. Commemorating the 1956 Melbourne Olympics as well as the Order of Merit logo on the back of the watch symbolizing Omega's advancements in the world of sports. A truly exceptional watch and without question one of the nicest Omega's of the 1950's; its so nice it pains me a little to list it for sale. At 34mm it is still a wearable dress size. Further there is absolutely no doubt in my mind at all that this watch will appreciate dramatically over time; especially this black dial variant. A signifcant addition to ANY collection I'll miss her when she's gone.
